Today I started the day very nicely and even had a sumptious lunch with my colleagues at Chinatown. We had fishball soup, shared a plate of “or jian”- fried oyster, fruits and even followed by dessert. By then, we were all stuffed.

After that all of us went for our appointments, I ended up in Science Park II. So was doing some walk ins in some of the buildings around the area, the day goes on normally up until I went to this building. After seeing the board and seems like there is no company that I can go and meet, I decided to leave the building. On my out, once I push open the glass door, I miss a step and my foot twisted. Once twisted, my whole body goes down to the floor.. hopefully gracefully, wasn’t really paying an attention to it as all my concentration is all focus on my foot.

When I tried to get up, I felt my right foot has no strength and managed to sit on the step, while trying gain some strength back to the foot. Then I realized that before the glass door there are some people sitting down at the launch having their coffee.. Shit! Have they seen my embarassing moment? Most probably.. oh boy.. very gently I tried to stand up and tried to walk. Bit by bit, step by step I managed to walk out from there and able to get a cab to bring me back to the office.. Whew! what a relief… Thinking that it might be alright, I managed to limp my way back home.

But as time goes, my ankle is getting worse. Even now when I put my leg straight to rest it, my ankle is getting more and more swollen and even now when I tried to walk just a few step it is even more painful now.. sigh.. now really wondering.. how do I get to work tomorrow with a swollen ankle.?

Napping anyone?

People always says Monday blue where people are always stony when they get to work. As the week goes by, the more energetic people gets as weekends gets closer. However, for me is the other way round.. sigh.. Normally Monday I am more energetic after the recharge during weekends but as the week progress to nearer to weekend.. instead of being energizing the more tired I am.

Just this morning I got a shocking wake up call. The day starts pretty the same after turning off several snoozes before deciding to climb out from my bed (or rather mattress). While I was walking towards the pick up point at Vivocity where I have to take a bus from there to reach my work place, I heard footstep behind me, thinking that it might be one of my colleague, I looked back. Just that moment…

WHAM!

People say only ghost walk through the wall, I tried to walk through a big white pillar. Wow! I really see stars and had a major headache after that.. That really woke me up… lucky the place that I bang was at the side of my head so if there is a bruise at least it was being covered by my hair. But at that moment.. it was so painful! Geez..

That teach me a lesson.. never look back and walk.. After shaking up my brain this morning, hopefully will make my brain cells work better now!

HItching a ride?

Most people when we go to immigration, there is always a degree of anxiety, hopefully that we are able to go across the border safely without any fuss or delay. The stories that we heard of immigration officers detaining people, how the people went through.. eventhough they did nothing wrong but still was detained was not an experience that we would like to experience.

Today, my parents came over to send us  our Chinese New Year cookies orders and while they were going back we took a ride from them, thinking that they are able to leave us at woodland immigration and we are able to walk to the other side of the immigration to take a bus to Causeway Point – Shopping center at Woodlands. However, we ended up at the car immigration and we are unable to go across.

Sadly we do not have our passports with us or we are able to follow up my parents across to JB and take a bus back. Therefore, we are stranded at the immigration. We tried to jay walk to the bus lane to cut across to the arrival hall however we were being detain by one of the officers. We were then have to wait a while for the officer to call another officer to escort us to their office.

Wow! What an experience man.. After some registration, the officer escorted us through all the official walkway and halls and bring us over to the arrival hall. Everyone must have seen us being escorted wondering what went wrong with us.. It is so funny, trilling and a very exciting experience! But it is not an experience that we would like repeat again!

The best Wake up call.. August 1, 2007

This is going to be a very short blog.. just to share an experience that I had this morning which has just started less than 4 hours ago and a good way to start the new month of AUGUST!

As my normal morning routine, woke up this morning at my usual time and lazed around for another 5 more minutes before finally getting out of my bed to face the world today. Got ready for work and off I went, with half of my awareness still in my dreamland and the other half in my present moment and if that is still not enough, I share that awareness with the book that I was reading on my way to work in the train.

Thinking that I will catch the later combi into the island, I happily stroll over to my favourite “coffee shop” (toast box at Vivo City) to get my coffee and breakfast. Munching away my breakfast I make my way to the pick up point. Oh, goody, the 0830 hours bus is still around! still munching and getting up the bus..

Wham!

Opps.. I miss a step of the bus.. Lucky one my colleague helped to hold me.. if not I would have landed on my face with my coffee all !.. I have never been more awake after this incident and also has not been so embarrassed where the whole bus witness my wake up call!…
